Discovering your temperament can help you better understand your decisions, actions and opinions, make conscious decisions and identify strengths and weaknesses of your personality. Find out what your personality style is.

To find out what your temperament is, take our test, selecting, for each question, the answer option with which it is best to identify:

This test is just a orientation tool and therefore does not replace consultation with a psychologist for a more detailed assessment of temperament.

Types of Temperament

Based on personality characteristics, the test can identify the following temperaments:

1. Fleumatic temperament

The phlegmatic temperament is characterized by distancing and self -protection behaviors. People like that tend to be calm, enjoy tranquility and avoid putting themselves in uncomfortable situations.

2.

The choleric temperament is usually identified by characteristics such as determination and willpower. People with this temperament tend to be optimistic, quite independent and confident.

3. Melancholy temperament

The melancholy temperament is a type that has more negative perceptions of its qualities and situations you experience. Thus, people with this temperament tend to be quite perfectionist and sensitive, for example.

4. Blood temperament

Blood temperament is characterized by living emotions, joy and motivation. Therefore, people with this temperament tend to be communicative, warm and make friends easily.

So that Serve

The temperament test can help:

  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of personality;
  • Better understand their own actions, decisions and opinions;
  • Make more conscious decisions;
  • Better deal with your own difficulties;
  • Improve how to relate to other people.

However, for a more complete temperament assessment and better understanding how this information can be useful for your life, make an appointment with a closer psychologist:

Available at: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Federal District, Pernambuco, Bahia, Maranhão, Pará, Paraná, Sergipe and Ceará.

Who can take the test

Although the temperament test can be done by anyone who can read and understand the questions and answers, the ideal is to be done by people over 18 years old.

How the test works

The temperament test has 57 questions with “yes” or “no” answer options, among which the person should choose the option with which they are most identified. Although there are no right or wrong answers, in each question, one option is worth 1 point and the other 0.

Each question belongs to one of 3 categories (“extrovert”, “neurotic” or “untruth”), so that the predominant temperament is identified by the interpretation of the sum of points that the person makes in each of them.

Some questions, specifically those in the category “Truth”, exist only to try to check the honesty of the answers. It is therefore important that the person is as honest as possible during the test to get a more accurate result.

What can influence the result

The main factors that can influence the result are:

  • Not being felt well on the day when taking the test;
  • Be dealing with some difficulty;
  • Do not answer the questions with sincerity;
  • Difficulty focusing on the test;
  • Think excessively when giving the answers.

In these cases the test may not be able to evaluate the temperament properly and sometimes give answers that the person does not identify. Thus, it is important to take the test on a quiet day that is feeling well, as well as answering the questions sincerely.
