Some options for homemade remedies for burn are:

1. Banana helmet

Banana peel has leukocyanidine, which is a flavonoid with healing and anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore, banana peel can be used as a home remedy to accelerate healing and avoid bubbles.

With the help of a knife, remove the layer that covers the interior of the banana peel carefully and place on the burn. Then cover with a sterile gauze and replace, if necessary, after 2 hours. Repeat the procedure several times a day.

2. Babosa gel

Remove the thorns and cut the sheet in half, towards the length. Then shave the gel inside the sheet, and place over a sterile compress or gauze, covering the following skin. This poultice should be exchanged at least 2 times a day.

3. Mel

This natural remedy is very easy to prepare at home and is great for burns because it helps to moisturize the place, facilitating healing and preventing the appearance of bubbles and scars.

In addition, honey has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that can alleviate discomfort and redness, as well as prevent the development of infections.

Pass a thin layer of honey over the burnt skin without rubbing, cover with a clean gauze or cloth and let it act for a few hours. Wash the place with cold water and put a new layer of honey again, 2 to 3 times a day.

4. Lettuce poultice

Another good homeburn remedy is lettuce poultice, especially in case of sun burn, as this is a vegetable with properties that help rejuvenate the skin and relieve the symptoms of the burn due to its analgesic action.

Ingredients

  • 3 lettuce sheets;
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Preparation mode

Macerate the lettuce leaves with the olive oil and then put the mixture into a clean compress or cloth and apply on the burn. The poultice should be exchanged 2 times a day.

5. Chamomile Compress

Chamomile is a good natural option to treat light burns, as it has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties that help reduce irritation and favor healing.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 to 4 grams of dried flowers from Camomila;
  • 1 cup of tea (240 ml) of boiled water.

Preparation mode

Place the dried chamomile flowers in the cup with boiled water, cover and let stand for about 5 to 10 minutes. Then strain and place it in the refrigerator.

This cold chamomile infusion can be applied on site with the aid of a clean gauze over the affected region, several times a day, whenever the skin is full and does not have open wounds.

Home remedies that should not be used

Although there are several home and popular remedies that promise to help treat a burn, the truth is that not all should be used. Some home remedies that are contraindicated include:

  • Butter, oil or other fat;
  • Toothpaste;
  • Whether;
  • Egg white.

This type of products can cause greater skin irritation and promote an infection of the site, impairing the whole process of healing the burn.
