It is believed that if a person absorbs about a quarter of his day calories after an evening meal or at night at least twice a week, then this is a dream.

Food as sleeping pills is not a medicine, but a diagnosis

Here are another important signs of this syndrome that Oksana Dipkina quotes:

  • In the evenings, a bad mood and a feeling of depression;
  • There is a desire after dinner or immediately before bedtime;
  • A person does not fall asleep or wakes up, and this happens at least four times a week;
  • perception of food as sleeping pills;
  • There is no desire in the morning, there is no hunger;
  • A person refuses breakfast at least four times a week.

Among close relatives, sleep is more common. Perhaps this indicates the role of heredity in the development of the syndrome. But the problems with circadian rhythms (daily rhythms) are of main importance, which is why desinchronization of sleep modes and eating. Normally, during the day, fluctuations in hormones regulating appetite occur so that at night a person sleeps and does not feel hunger. And in sleep, these processes suffer.

How to defeat a dream?

The wedge is knocked out by the wedge: a person who consumes enough food during the day is less prone to gluttony in the evening or at night.

The most important role is played by breakfast. It should be hearty and dense – protein. Therefore, meat from meat, eggs and milk is perfect for him.

It’s better to eat a little day, but more often-every 2-3 hours.

The refrigerator does not need to be closed to the castle, just do not hold products in it that are already ready. Let there be what you need to cook. And the longer, the better. Perfect raw meat is ideal instead of sausage and other slices, the same applies to bird and fish. Do not buy fast -cooking cereals. Prepare a little to eat immediately during the day. If you buy something that can be used immediately and without culinary processing, take it too little.

Aromatherapy will help to weaken the night traction to food. The most optimal essential oils for this are cloves, cinnamon, almonds, citrus fruits, mint, ginger, apple, rose, lavender and anise.

Often patients are prescribed antidepressants (depression also plays a role in the development of sleep).

Cognitive-behavioral therapy is also used. This is one of the forms of psychotherapy, and it gives good results.
